Biography

Graduating with a Finance Degree, Phillip qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young. After entering the executive search profession, he worked for Michael Page where he managed a significant portion of the firm’s international practice. Following a period as Managing Director of Mervyn Hughes International he joined Deloitte as a management consultant and spent 10 years with the practice ultimately directing the firm’s recruitment services and HR consulting practice across the greater part of the UK. In January 2000, Phillip left Deloitte to co-found PGC with Andrew Guy. PGC has become established as a regional leader in executive search and selection and Phillip offers expertise across a wide range of HR consulting services.

Expert practitioner in board level and head of function search and selection across all key functions: general management, finance, sales, marketing, & HR. Experience covers FTSE100-350 companies to entrepreneurial start-ups and professional practices.

As part of his Management Audit and Assessment work, Phillip is accredited to deliver and interpret psychometric testing and profiling.  Friisberg & Partners has adopted a common assessment platform utilising Saville Consulting’s Wave Assessment series covering aptitude testing and personality profiling.
